In 2022, Almere will be the stage for the International Horticultural Exhibition Floriade Expo 2022. During the Floriade, the Dutch horticulture sector will exhibit green solutions that can make cities more fun, liveable and sustainable.

The Floriade site is currently under construction. However, from 17 July till 26 September 2021 it is possible to preview the location and get a unique look behind the scenes.

A ticket costs € 12,50 per person and includes a free ride on the cable car. A special way to access the Floriade site is by taking the boat from Almere Stad Centrum. There boat departs from the pier that is located on the Esplanade.
